In an era when the video game industry is considerably shaky and precarious, it seems as if fans have nothing to worry about regarding Respawn’s upcoming Star Wars Jedi threequel, despite it having been tight-lipped for a while now. Part of why fans may not be too worried about it is perhaps due to the fact that there is a future teased for Star Wars Jedi’s Cal Kestis, whether that’s in another game or in his first live-action or animated debut elsewhere in Star Wars’ rich media.
Recently, however, a rumor has begun to spread across a galaxy far, far away about this third Star Wars Jedi game, which is being colloquially referred to as Star Wars Jedi 3 until an official subtitle is confirmed. This rumor isn’t all too alarming within the context of how Respawn has chosen to tell Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s stories, but doubling down on this storytelling approach would compound the issues that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s narrative endured as a result.
