Regardless of it being leaked prior, the announcement of a brand-new Blood and Wine-sized expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was tremendously exciting. It should be great to play as Geralt of Rivia again, and the story could be phenomenal no matter where/when it’s set or which characters are involved. Even so, many fans will likely need no excuse to revisit The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2027 than to partake in another thrilling game of Gwent.

Gamers’ adoration for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Gwent is palpable, with virtually every minigame in an RPG released afterward being compared to it.
