The Elder Scrolls Online has made it its responsibility to uplift and sustain the high-fantasy RPG franchise as a live-service MMORPG in light of The Elder Scrolls VI’s continued absence. The Elder Scrolls Online is almost as old as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, to be clear, and it’s seemingly never been more popular or successful than in the last couple of years, suggesting that it has a healthy shelf life ahead of it yet.

However, while The Elder Scrolls Online had used a different release schedule for its content updates, DLC, and Chapters for more than a decade, it only recently adopted a seasonal model. And, with its first season coming to an end, the future of The Elder Scrolls Online appears to be quite fruitful.

The Elder Scrolls Online is currently enjoying a celebratory period of transition and celebration, as Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk officially comes to an end this week. Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk began on April 2 and ends in two days’ time, on July 8, marking the beginning of Season One.
