The digital Xbox 360 version of Sonic Generations has been delisted. Sonic Generations was first released in 2011 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and 3DS. The game is considered one of the better post-Dreamcast Sonic games, with fans getting a kick out of how it blends 3D Sonic gameplay with more traditional 2D levels.
Considering how popular Sonic Generations was at launch, it's really no surprise that Sega is remastering it for modern platforms with some fresh content in tow. Sonic X Shadow Generations is launching on October 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It features a remaster of the original Sonic Generations game, but also comes with a slew of new levels themed around Shadow the Hedgehog. Sonic the Hedgehog fans are greatly looking forward to Sonic X Shadow Generations, but those that are nostalgic for the original Sonic Generations may be sad to learn that the game has recently been delisted from the Xbox 360 storefront.
The upcoming remaster of Sonic Generations is a welcome surprise for the year, and though it seems to come out of nowhere, it makes sense overall.
