Samurai Jack fans have largely been lucky. While the series isn't as much of a media empire as, say, Avatar: The Last Airbender, its renewal for a fifth and final season in 2017 gave the story a chance to achieve finality 11 years after it originally went off the air.
With creator Genndy Tartakovsky having wrapped up the show, there isn't much need for a new season of Samurai Jack, but fans have still been eager to see the character appear elsewhere. As it turns out, Samurai Jack's most recent appearance got cut off before everything planned could actually be released, and some fans aren't happy.
Like many other licenses under the Warner Bros. empire, Samurai Jack showed up in the platform fighting game MultiVersus, which threw characters ranging from Bugs Bunny to Batman into a Super Smash Bros.-style mix. Samurai Jack received both a playable character and a map called Back to the Past in-game, but data mining of the game files has since revealed another Samurai Jack stage that was ultimately scrapped, as noted by X user AusilMVS.
