Elden Ring's Successor Is Getting A Playable Demo This August

Elden Ring gamers have been waiting on pins and needles regarding future announcements from FromSoftware, and while they'll be getting an official DLC with the Tarnished Edition release later this year, it's been radio silence on plans for the studio's future Souls projects.

That said, Elden Ring's official successor launching on Nintendo Switch 2, The Duskbloods, has left players hanging so far this year after neglecting to provide a specific release date at the most recent Nintendo Direct event. While FromSoft still hasn't provided a release date outside a 2026 launch window, they did announce that there would be a Network Playtest opening up later this year.

As fans have been on the edge of their seats for another Duskbloods update, today FromSoft announced official details on the project's Network Playtest that will let gamers demo the highly anticipated PvPvE game later this year ahead of its full release (via DB).
