Pearl Abyss releases another new update for Crimson Desert, addressing issues while finally adding one of their big roadmap features as well. Despite lukewarm reviews when Crimson Desert launched on March 19, 2026, Pearl Abyss has managed a huge turnaround with the game. Part of that was listening and addressing feedback from players through rapid-fire updates, which have largely transformed the experience and caused a surge of popularity.
Although the nearly weekly updates have slowed down as of late, there's no denying the huge impact that they've had on the experience. Not only have these Crimson Desert updates added new features, especially with the endgame, they've addressed major pain points players have had, while also addressing various bugs and other issues. The end result is that Crimson Desert is in a much better state than it has ever been, though while a lot of progress has been made, Pearl Abyss doesn't appear to be done. Previously indicating that it would continue to update the experience as long as there's demand, the studio is also hitting some of the bigger fan-requested features now.
