It is hard to believe that it has already been almost five years since we received our first and last look at the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. First announced back in September 2021 alongside a brief teaser trailer, the remake of the 2003 RPG by BioWare has seemingly disappeared into thin air, especially after the project, which was originally being developed by Aspyr, was soon taken over by Saber Interactive in 2022.

Add to that a ton of development issues, and many fans believed that the highly anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake had been unceremoniously canceled. However, worries were soon put to bed back in March 2025 when Saber Interactive's creative director, Tim Willits, came forward with a brand-new update, revealing that the remake was still in production.

Now, over a year on, and fans have been graced with yet another update, but unfortunately, we will be waiting for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake a little bit longer still.
