The Pokémon Legends duology has actually been a breath of fresh air for the franchise as a whole, even if both games did have areas that can be improved upon. They've also seemingly been successful enough for the developer, and the not-a-spin-off spin-off is seemingly here to stay for the foreseeable future.
The first step in Pokémon's tenth generation has already been confirmed as Winds and Waves, but we know next to nothing about what comes next for Legends. That said, there is the age-old well of rumors to return to, and with information coming out all the time, we might have some of what the developer plans to do next.
Over on Twitter/X, the user Centro LEAKS shared a post detailing rumors around Game Freak's plans for the tenth generation, including a "new Legends game set in the past." This chimes very well with an existing portion of the infamous Teraleak that suggested a very early pitch for Pokémon Legends 3 put forward the idea of setting the game in Galar, 1000 years in the past.
