Vampyr, while ranging all over with its scores and reception, has struck a chord with gamers it seems. The Action RPG from DONTNOD crosses the half-million mark a month into its existence. Courtesy of PCGamesN:

According to DONTNOT CEO, Oskar Guilbert "We are very proud, because since its launch, our last original creation meets a great craze among players. Thanks to our new role as co-producer, we will greatly benefit from this commercial success."

According to Publisher Focus Home Interactive, Vampyr needed to sell around 1 million to be considered a success, but 500,000 would mean it was profitable. So it seems the blood-sucking title is in the black in just over a month. My thought? Good. It wasn't a perfect game, but it sure was brave, enjoyable, and unique. We need more like it.
