Back in June, the long-rumored The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake was finally announced by Nintendo. Slated for a holiday 2026 release, it will offer players the chance to experience the beloved 1998 in all of its next-gen glory, launching alongside significant visual and gameplay enhancements, a semi-realistic art-style, and a 1:1 graphical upscale.
Announced alongside a very brief teaser trailer, it is clear to see that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake will look a lot different to the original release, but that has not stopped some fans from worrying that Nintendo will release a 1:1 remake.
As with every remake of a beloved title, it is hard not to feel some concern. Will it manage to capture the magic of the original whilst enhancing it to the power of next-gen? Will it launch alongside extra content? Or will it just be a cash grab for Nintendo that preys on fan's nostalgia?
