Jennifer English Steps Down From Highly Anticipated Voice Role

Eclipse Glow Games, the developer behind the highly anticipated upcoming fantasy action-adventure game Tides of Annihilation, has just confirmed that Jennifer English is stepping down from her role as main protagonist Gwendolyn. According to Eclipse Glow's official announcement, Jennifer English is stepping away from Tides of Annihilation due to personal health reasons.

After a start in theater acting, Jennifer English took on her first video game voice role in 2017, making her debut in Divinity: Original Sin 2. English's voice acting career was propelled forward by her breakout performance as Shadowheart in 2023's Baldur's Gate 3, which was shortly followed by her performance as Maelle in last year's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Jennifer English has won a total of five awards for her performance as Clair Obscur's Maelle, including a BAFTA, a Golden Joystick, a New York Game Award, and a 2025 Game Award.
