Elden Ring Patch 1.13 Seriously Buffs Spirit Ashes & Fixes the Game’s Most Annoying UI Quirk

Today’s Elden Ring patch is great news for anyone still struggling with the brutal difficulty in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Love ’em or hate ’em, Spirit Ashes are one of the best ways to get past a boss you’re struggling with, and patch 1.13 gives love to every single spirit summon not named Mimic Tear. Furthermore, Needle Knight Leda, Pureblood Knight Ansbach, and Thiollier have all received “increased stats and status” — no longer will your summons get insta-clapped by one of the brutal DLC boss combos.

The main way the spirit summons have been buffed is by increasing both their attack power and damage negation when Revered Spirit Ash Blessing is at [5] or more, and when a Spirit Ash is upgraded to +8 and beyond via Spirit Tuning. This does mean that some of the early game bosses will still perform about the same against summons (assuming they aren’t fully upgraded), but the latter parts of the DLC will be more forgiving to summons. Additionally, there is a huge list of of Spirit Ashes that got buffed, either by being staggered less, more HP or damage, more damage negation, or some combination.
