We got the dev update for the next Dead by Daylight update today, and while there aren’t any major changes listed, there’s still plenty to be excited about, plus a few “minor updates” that might end up making a big difference. The Dredge, Doctor, and Nemesis are all getting minor updates aimed at improving how they feel to play. A few understrength Perks are also getting some small buffs, including some fun ones like Blast Mine and Diversion. Prestige levels will no longer show up in the pre-game lobby, which is a nice change that should cut down on people leaving lobbies because they see a P100 Blendette.
One of the “minor updates” that actually seems pretty major is the increased duration of hook stages, from 60 seconds to 70 seconds. That’s a 16% increase, per phase. You’ll live a lot longer on the hook now! Another minor update that looks significant is the scratch marks changes — they should now be much more visible, especially on specific maps where they were previously hard to spot.
Check out our TL;DR below for a brief overview of the changes, or read on for the whole update!
