Final Fantasy 14 confirmed the return of the annual Moonfire Faire, which marked the first event of the new Dawntrail expansion since its July 2 launch. Final Fantasy 14 players who take part in the Moonfire Faire will earn a new "Uchiwasshoi" emote and a bomb-themed decoration for their virtual home collections.
The news of the Moonfire Faire's return came days after the launch of Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.05. The content update introduced the Cenote Ja Ja Gural treasure dungeon, the Arcadion's first Savage raid tier, and Job balance updates across the board. Among the major Job changes were some reworks to the Viper's core rotation, further adjustments to the Black Mage in response to player feedback, and potency buffs for the Paladin, Machinist, and Red Mage. The Samurai saw nerfs to its core rotation but received a change to its Tsubame-gaeshi ability that will see it used more often to compensate.
