Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 PlayStation 5 codes will be region-locked, meaning they can only be redeemed in specific regions. While digital games purchased through the PS Store automatically match a player's account region, region-locked codes could create problems for those who choose Grand Theft Auto 6's physical code-in-the-box edition.
Fans seem convinced that they have discovered one of Grand Theft Auto 6's main theme songs, and it's a legendary track by an incredibly famous band.
As explained on Rockstar Games' official support page, Grand Theft Auto 6 codes for several regions, including the United Kingdom, North America, Brazil, and Latin America, must be redeemed with a PlayStation account registered in a specific country. Interestingly, this restriction only applies to the PlayStation 5 version of Grand Theft Auto 6, as the Xbox Series X/S edition has no region-lock restrictions on its codes.
