A new rumor has suggested that the next game from Wasteland developer inXile Entertainment could be adjacent to the Fallout series. While Wasteland is already similar to Fallout in many ways, it seems that Xbox Game Studios may be looking to bridge the gap even further with inXile's next title.
Developer inXile Entertainment has been the custodian of the Wasteland franchise since 2014, taking over from Interplay, which made the 1988 original. It's also known for its Bard's Tale series, and is currently deep into the development of Clockwork Revolution. Over the years, the Wasteland series has drawn plenty of comparisons to the Fallout series, and almost feels like a continuation of the latter's early CRPG titles. As both are post-apocalyptic role-playing games, comparisons were always going to happen.
