Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Exciting Drop Rate Increase for World Level 9

Genshin Impact is introducing World Level 9 in Version 5.0, and the new difficulty mode comes with a major increase in the number of ascension materials dropped by bosses and other enemies. Since launch, Genshin Impact was made with the following progression in mind: each character would cap out at Level 90, each account could only reach Adventure Rank 60, and World Levels stopped at 8. Though players have long wondered if the developers would ever expand the progression system in Genshin Impact, Natlan has ample evidence that they strongly considered it.

Though a majority of sources lean towards there being no level cap increase in Genshin Impact, it was previously believed that HoYoverse was planning a new Ascension Rank for characters that would have taken them all the way to Level 100. While this concept was either scrapped, delayed, or perhaps even a delicate piece of misdirection, there is one change in progression that Genshin Impact is committed to: the introduction of World Level 9 in Version 5.0.
