CDPR Gives New Official Statement on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2

Even though The Witcher 3 is 11 years old, it clearly dominated Gamescom 2026 with the Songs of the Past DLC and the announced remaster, but it seems developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR) wanted to give fans updates on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 as well. The Witcher 3's new content is obviously the company's main public focus right now, although development is led by Fool's Theory, but being transparent goes a long way.

It seems, at least in small doses, that CDPR has learned a lot from the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077. One of the biggest reasons for its terrible launch and so many delays is that the company wasn't being transparent about where the game was at, and as a lesson learned, CD Projekt Red has periodically given development resource allocation updates over the past few years. Now, fans know how many folks are actively working on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 as of this moment.
