Since 2007, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise has been a key component of the video game world, and with fourteen mainline entries under its belt almost two decades later, it is safe to say that many of us grew up with the action-adventure series that tasks us with joining the Assassin Brotherhood during their history-spanning feud with the Templar Order.
Whilst some entries have not lived up to expectations, others are widely regarded as some of the best video games of all time, introducing us to some iconic figures such as Ezio, Connor, and Edward. With Ubisoft just releasing the long-awaited Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced, talk has turned to what is next, and with many believing that Assassin's Creed Hexe will mark the next mainline entry in the franchise and take players to the 16th century Holy Roman Empire, hype is understandably building.
