GTA 6 developer Rockstar Games has detailed how several side activities will work, not least of which are fishing and hunting. It's clear that several of GTA 6's side activities expand on the "life sim" aspect of GTA: San Andreas, and it's no different this time around.
It seems that the floodgates have opened, ever so slightly, since GTA 6's Extended Look on Netflix. Now that official gameplay is out there, it seems there may be a consistent flow of news for the next few weeks, if not directly into launch.

Speaking with YouTuber TGG, Rockstar North boss Rob Nelson discussed several of GTA 6's side activities, including fishing that is said to be as detailed as Red Dead Redemption 2's. One major difference, however, is that players will have to release every fish they catch, with Nelson adding that the ability to keep fish "didn't fit this game" as it did in RDR2. It means GTA 6 could offer a surprisingly deep fishing activity without turning it into another inventory or money-making system....
