Rumor: Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Developer Leaks

From GameRant (Written by Sarah Fields) on | OpenCritic

A store listing may have accidentally revealed which developer is working on Zelda: Ocarina of Time. With Nintendo now having multiple studios working on its IPs, fans have wondered who might be bringing the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake to life, and may now have an answer, albeit an unverified one.

Alleged images of the Legend of Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro Controller seemingly leak online.

As first spotted on Reddit, Norwegian retailer Elkjøp has listed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for sale, and in the listing, credited the developer of the game as Monolith Soft. The developer has previously worked on a number of Nintendo titles, including recent Switch 2 titles like Splatoon Raiders and Mario Kart World, but Monolith Soft also isn't a stranger to the Zelda franchise, with its history with the series dating back to Skyward Sword. However, it's worth pointing out that retailer Elkjøp has since revised the listing, and now describes the developer as simply "Nintendo." Fans should take this information with a grain of salt, as it's not known at this time if this was a simple mistake or if details were unintentionally revealed ahead of time....
