Over the years since Disney Lorcana was first released, players everywhere have been eagerly waiting for a digital version of the game to become a reality. Though there have been some digital formats made by fans, these often get shut down fairly quickly. Now we know that Ravensburger has been working on their own official digital release to allow players to enjoy Disney Lorcana online.
Announced at D23's Lorcana panel, Ravensburger only gave a quick teaser to announce that this digital format is in development. Currently, the popular trading card game that features belovedly familiar Disney and Pixar characters is only truly able to be played in person.
That means that people either need to have friends or family nearby to play with, or attend events at their local game store in order to play the game at all. Now, with a digital format on the horizon, that could open things up for more people to enjoy Lorcana. Looking at other TCGs who created digital formats, Disney Lorcana could be seeing a lot of growth soon.
