Bandai Namco has confirmed that Gundam Rogue Orbit will launch on March 5, 2027, alongside a new trailer showing substantially more of the upcoming action game. Gundam Rogue Orbit is an original Gundam story from Bandai Namco Studios built around high-speed Mobile Suit combat and a brand-new timeline within the franchise.
First revealed during Summer Game Fest 2026, Gundam Rogue Orbit follows ace pilot RE-X after being rescued while adrift in space and becoming the pilot of Gundam Helix. Rather than adapting the anime's events, the game introduces its own conflict as humanity faces a mysterious threat known as the Apocalypse. Bandai Namco is also positioning the project as an action game that can appeal to players who may not already be deeply familiar with Gundam games, with fast combat and a cinematic presentation taking priority alongside the franchise's familiar Mobile Suits.
