Marvel Rivals Has Already Banned Over 100 Cheaters In Its Beta

Well, that didn't take long.

Marvel Rivals, the upcoming free-to-play literal hero shooter, which was just revealed a handful of months ago, and just entered closed beta testing a few days ago, already has cheaters and hackers. Yes, you read that correctly. A game that was announced in March and that is still in a beta phase already has bad actors trying to exploit the game.

Marvel Rivals makes a great first impression, but the more time I put into it, the more it starts to show its cracks.

News regarding the influx of cheaters in Marvel Rivals comes from an official release on the game's website from NetEase Games. There, the company revealed that, "Since the launch of our CBT, we have made significant strides in detecting and banning cheaters." Those strides have led to the banning of 190 accounts so far.

In an interesting twist, the cheating accounts have been named in the release, along with the date of the incident and their Game ID. All of them are for the, "Use of third-party unauthorized software & malicious client hacking activities."
