Game of Thrones fans were extremely curious about how the Sowing of the Seeds from George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood would be interpreted on screen in HBO's House of the Dragon, and it's one scene that was widely hailed even by the show's harshest critics. It played out rather brutally, with several Dragonseeds suffering a devastating and morbid end in an onslaught of dragonfire.
That said, the scene delivered some of the most important and consequential characters in the show, with Hugh Hammer and Ulf the White emerging as successful claimants to Vermithor and Silverwing, respectively. Both characters played pivotal roles in the events of Season 3, though these character arcs differ somewhat significantly from their Fire & Blood counterparts.
Regardless, The Red Sowing itself was a high point of House of the Dragon in terms of bringing Martin's vision to life, and fans will have another chance to experience the mayhem on September 9 (via GoTC).
