GTA 6 is giving players a ton of freedom when it comes to robbing stores, with Rockstar detailing how such a feature works in recent previews. Nowhere is that more evident that how GTA 6 is treating its interior locations. In short, players can attempt to rob almost any store they enter, while larger targets such as jewelry stores, banks, payday lenders, armored vans, criminal compounds, and full-scale heists can be highlighted on the map with an estimated payout.
Ever since the first trailer, it's been pretty clear that protagonists Jason and Lucia would be committing a lot of robberies. The unknown question is why. Recent story hints for GTA 6 suggest they are on the run, committing crimes to help them make money, stay off the radar, and presumably pay back a dangerous someone with a lot of cash. Bigger jobs certainly help that, even as they become bigger problems for players to tackle, but there are plenty of smaller jobs too.
