The Metal Gear Solid franchise is filled to the brim with cool and memorable characters, and your own favorite likely comes down to which games you played at the right time growing up. That said, almost everyone will agree that Raiden (not to be confused with the Mortal Kombat character of the same name), is one of the best of the bunch.
His first appearance in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is an absolute all-timer, and his subsequent bows in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance have done little to dampen his momentum.
