The promising action RPG title Black Myth: Wukong has officially gone gold a few weeks before it is set to launch. Published and developed by Chinese studio Game Science and based on the classic novel Journey to the West, Black Myth: Wukong will put players in the role of a monkey-like warrior known as the Destined One, who is tasked with traveling the land and battling monsters using his trusty bo staff and mystical powers. Black Myth: Wukong was first announced back in 2020, with various trailers and new information being released over the past few years in the build-up to its eventual launch.

Black Myth: Wukong would finally get an official release date of August 20 during WeGame 2024 in May. While the Xbox version of the game would later be delayed to a still-unknown date due to optimization issues, PS5 and Windows owners will soon get the chance to dive into Black Myth: Wukong’s Soulslike combat, seamless animal transformations, and fast-paced boss battles.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, from developer Leenzee, shares some similarities with other Soulslike titles, particularly Sekiro and Black Myth Wukong.
