Everybody 1-2-Switch! has made it to Australia's Top 10 combined software sales from July 22 to July 28 of 2024. The title was the sequel to the quirky mini-game compilation 1-2-Switch. Both games utilize the Joy-Con in unique ways in the form of bite-sized games that two players can enjoy with one another.
Even in the early days of development, some fans believed that a 1-2-Switch sequel was unnecessary. Some reviewers believed that the original title had "dull, lifeless, forgettable" mechanics, and that the game was gimmicky in nature. Although, it was also stated by a few that the family-friendly nature of the mini-games meant that it was a good way to showcase the Joy-Con's capabilities. Not surprisingly, the sequel Everybody 1-2-Switch! also got similar comments for being more of what the original offered, thereby receiving mediocre reviews as well.
