Pokemon GO allows players to interact with Nintendo’s long line of collectible monsters in a real-world environment using augmented reality and a phone’s camera, though not everyone enjoys using it due to it potentially causing game lag or draining the battery on their mobile device.
Pokemon GO has been a major hit ever since it launched back in 2016, serving as a jumping-on point for newcomers to the large and sprawling Pokemon franchise. The surprise success of these first two Pokemon games eventually spawned the equally popular Pokemon animated series, which in turn produced a series of tie-in films. The very first one, titled Pokemon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back, hit theaters in 1998 and saw Mew and Mewtwo clash in animated form for the first time.
