Like Skyrim, you could feasibly play Red Dead Redemption 2 for a full year without getting bored, as long as you take it slow. The world is full of adventure and surprises, plus rich storylines, great side stories, and tons of activities to fill your time when the credits roll.
Red Dead Redemption fans also have a horror crossover, especially with Undead Nightmare, the 2010 expansion for the original Red Dead Redemption, which turns the entire game into a non-canon horror romp. You'll need to find a cure for zombieism in that campaign, which is a completely out-there story even by Rockstar standards.
Although Red Dead Redemption 2 never got a fully-fledged horror expansion pack, the next best thing is available in The Hollow Man - Undying Duel.
