An upcoming fan-made Pokemon game is bringing back the Battle Frontier, a fan-favorite feature that's been missing for well over a decade at this point. The first Pokemon game to feature the Battle Frontier was Pokemon Emerald, with it becoming one of that game's defining and most popular features. The Battle Frontier disappeared in the transition to Diamond and Pearl, but came back again as one of the big selling points of Pokemon Platinum.
The Battle Frontier returned yet again in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
