The rumors about Star Wars: Battlefront 3 are getting more serious as time goes by, and at this point, they’re not even being treated as rumors anymore, despite the fact that the game hasn’t been announced. It’s been nearly a decade since the release of the last iteration in the series, Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The game was met with some negative criticism, which was a disappointment to many. Nevertheless, there’s no denying that fans are waiting for the next entry in the series, so much so that some fans even created a legacy mod for Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
However, it seems that fans may not need to rely solely on mods and older games for much longer, as the next game in the space shooter franchise may be in the works. As was highlighted by user Com_Raven on Reddit, Disney (the company that owns the Star Wars IP) may be looking for a development partner for Star Wars: Battlefront 3. Among the potential studios for that rumored project are Bungie and DICE, as per the report. The information was showcased in a Giant Bomb podcast featuring host Jeff Grubb and X Button’s Seth Macy.
