Shadow the Hedgehog has always been one of the most popular characters in the Sonic franchise, but that's come back in full force this year thanks to the third Sonic movie and Sonic x Shadow: Generations. While most fans are just excited to jump into the next Shadow adventure, the excitement around the character has also dug up some interesting discoveries from the past.
Sonic's last great adventure is back and better than ever.
We've already reported on a few of these, such as Sonic x Shadow: Generations featuring a skin that harkens back to his roots as Terios and how Sega wants you to forget that he was inspired by Dragon Ball Z's Vegeta. It turns out that's just scratching the surface, though, as one particularly interesting detail goes all the way back to 2005's Shadow the Hedgehog game, which involved Maria in a surprising way.
