Behaviour Interactive has announced that it will extend the duration of the 2v8 limited-time game mode in Dead by Daylight by one week. The game mode has been a huge success, bringing in the highest peak player count Dead by Daylight has seen in over two years.

On July 25, a brand-new limited-time mode was added to the asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight. This mode raised the stakes on all fronts of the game by doubling the size of both teams – two killers versus eight survivors. For the first time in Dead by Daylight's history, killer players could team up against insurmountable odds and work together to ensure eight survivors could not escape the Entity's realm. Instead of perks, survivors have classes, and killers have Team Powers. Classes give survivors special abilities, allowing them to excel at either repairing, healing, running, or hiding. Team Powers allows the two killers to work in unison to defend the 13 generators on custom-made supersized maps. The mode was meant to only run for two weeks, but due to being such a big success, this has been extended.
