Microsoft has published multiple new job listings on its website, with one in particular hinting at what the future of Xbox consoles could look like. With the current generation of Xbox hardware now fast approaching its fourth year on the market, Microsoft appears to have a clear vision in mind when it comes to what's next for the studio's upcoming console.
While Xbox appears to be thriving on the software side of things, even doubling down on cloud gaming, sales for Xbox consoles continue to fall. Despite this, the studio appears to remain heavily invested in its hardware and looks set to continue to develop new consoles and go head-to-head with the likes of Sony's PlayStation. Xbox President Sarah Bond even said in February that the next generation of Xbox consoles would deliver the "largest technical leap" ever in a hardware generation, making it clear that Xbox is going all out for its next piece of hardware.
Xbox has just confirmed that one of its upcoming Game Pass exclusives is moving out of its 2024 release window, but it still has a strong line-up.
