Beginning back in 1990 with the publication of The Eye of the World, the series, which is best known as The Wheel of Power, has gone on to become one of the most successful in the high fantasy genre. Written by Robert Jordan, with Brandon Sanderson stepping in as co-writer for the final three books, it was in 2021 that Amazon Prime cashed in on its popularity by airing a show of the same name, which ran until May 2025, when it was unceremoniously canceled after its third season.
However, with a dedicated fanbase behind it, it is no wonder that a campaign was soon underway to attempt to save the show, but at the time of writing, the #SaveWOT campaign has not led to the show's renewal.
That being said, it is not all doom and gloom, as although the beloved show remains in the television show graveyard, the world continues to live on and now, The Wheel Of Time: The One Power is set to arrive in 2027.
Launching in 2027 is War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time, and following in June will be The Wheel Of Time: The One Power, courtesy of Kickstarter.
