PlayStation Plus has officially dropped a surprise update for a 1999 PS1 classic available in its catalog, and if you haven’t played it yet, this may be the best moment to do so. Amidst the newer games that are added to the catalog so that members can enjoy, there are also some older titles that are treated as classics within Sony’s subscription service. For example, the 2000 PS1 classic on PlayStation Plus, Dino Crisis 2, was added to the catalog in October, allowing subscribers to play the sequel to one of the most beloved survival horror games ever.
While new classics are constantly being added, every so often, these titles are getting updates – as surprising as that may be. According to a new post shared by user kabirsingh84 on Reddit, that is precisely what happened with a 1999 classic available on PlayStation Plus. As seen in the post, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace received a new update on the PlayStation service, and the classic game now features support for a trophy system, allowing players to get more account rewards from playing the title.
In total, players can now obtain 21 trophies and 1,350 Points...
