Nintendo has released its latest financial results, and the company has provided an updated list of the best-selling games on the original Switch, as well as Nintendo Switch 2. First-party Nintendo games have always sold very well, and that continues to be the case in the Switch 2 era. The system already has a number of big exclusives, which has helped convince more than 25 million players to upgrade from the original Switch.
The Switch 2 era began with Mario Kart World as the system's first big exclusive. It made sense for Nintendo to launch the system with a new Mario Kart, since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been the best-selling game on the original Switch. More than a year has passed since Mario Kart World's release, but Nintendo continues to update Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That might seem unusual, but it makes sense given the sheer number of people still buying the Switch 1 game.
Square Enix sale puts Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth at its lowest price ever, alongside several other major games from the company.
