Street Fighter 6 producer Shuhei Matsumoto has stated that he wants to bring back all of Capcom's classic fighting games onto modern consoles. Capcom is currently in an excellent spot in regard to the fighting game market. Street Fighter 6, the latest entry in the long-running franchise, has been a solid success for the company, having two seasons of DLC that add additional characters to its roster. Capcom has also been on the ball with re-releasing some of its most important fighting games, bringing many classic titles to new platforms.
The latest collection was announced earlier this past June, bringing back several classic Marvel vs. Capcom titles on modern systems, while adding several modern conveniences like online rollback netcode. Other collections that Capcom has previously released include Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, a compilation package by Digital Eclipse that bundles various Street Fighter fighting games into one convenient title, and Capcom Fighting Collection, which includes various underrated Capcom fighting games like Darkstalkers and Red Earth.
