Another Nintendo Direct could be coming soon, according to some newly emerged information from a credible industry insider. The same source said that a new Indie World showcase from Nintendo is also just around the corner.
The Japanese gaming giant has so far held four major product broadcasts since the turn of the year. The latest of those was the June 18 Nintendo Direct, which saw the company announce The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, LEGO Horizon Adventures, and multiple other games.
Both 2D and 3D Super Mario Bros. platformers had strong showings on the Nintendo Switch, and they should strive to do the same on the Switch 2.
Another such show may now be on the horizon, according to journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe, also known as Brazil. Taking to Famiboards, Lippe recently suggested that a new Nintendo Direct will happen "sooner rather than later." He also reiterated his previous claim of an Indie World showcase being planned for September 2024. For reference, Lippe is the one who broke the story of the Switch 2 delay back in February 2024.
