Vampire Survivors has introduced Patch 1.11, dubbed The Darkasso update, which includes a new stage and relic, some special character skins, five additional Arcanas, and nine achievements for players to discover. As a crossover DLC with Konami's Contra series, Operation Guns introduced new characters, explosive weapons, and new maps for Vampire Survivors players to comb through. Some of the Contra characters that arrived with Operation Guns included series protagonists Bill Rizer and Lance Bean, along with the wolf-like Brad Fang from Contra: Hard Corps. Operation Guns was just the second major part of Vampire Survivors' ambitious 2024-25 Chaos Roadmap, which previously included free updates such as the Laborralory.
