Bizarre New Game from Silent Hill Creator Sets Up Its Story

Bokeh Game Studios has released a brand-new trailer for Slitterhead, an upcoming game by the creator of Silent Hill, Keiichiro Toyama. Slitterhead is one of this year's most anticipated horror releases. Slitterhead also features music by Akira Yamaoka, a composer who worked on the Silent Hill franchise, and it boasts grotesque monster designs that wouldn't look out of place in Konami's horror games.

Slitterhead got a big trailer at Summer Game Fest 2024 that gave horror fans an insight into its primary gameplay mechanic of possessing victims as a supernatural spirit named Hyoki. A new cinematic trailer has now been released by Bokeh Game Studios that focuses on Slitterhead's story, giving some insight into its themes and characters.

Upcoming horror game Slitterhead is looking very promising, but it should avoid one pitfall that a similar game, Ghostwire Tokyo, fell victim to.
