It's no new news that 2015's Until Dawn will be getting a full-fledged remake, due out sometime this fall. What is new news is that the game will reportedly be a full-priced release. That part has fans debating whether any of this is all worth it.
Until Dawn was always aiming for photorealism, so the remaster will be a welcome upgrade.
As first reported by leaker billbil_kun online, the Until Dawn remake, which recently received a new trailer, will cost $59.99 at launch. It's not all too surprising that the game would launch at full-price, though at least the modern $69.99 is out of the way. Still, it's a big ask for a game that is nearly 10 years old.
More so, a lot of people likely already have the game. That's because, back in July 2017, it was given away as a free PlayStation Plus title, and then, following the launch of the PlayStation 5, the horror game was one of 20 games that made up the PS Plus Classics catalog that all owners had access to.
