A free update for Starfield has been revealed at Gamescom's Opening Night Live, along with some news about its Shattered Space DLC. The free Starfield update will add the long-anticipated land vehicle feature in the form of the REV-8, a simple lunar rover that players can use to traverse the vast wilds of Starfield's procedurally generated planets. The REV-8 appears to be customizable as well as practical, with a variety of color schemes and decals revealed in the trailer. The free update is available the same day as the reveal - August 20, 2024 - and is expected to be released later tonight. This comes along with an update on Starfield's upcoming Shattered Space DLC, which is now officially scheduled to be released on September 30, 2024.
