Genshin Impact is finally being released for a new platform following years of being made available only on PC, PlayStation consoles, and mobile devices, as seen during Gamescom 2024. The action RPG by HoYoverse is set to start Version 5.0 in late August and, with it, kick off a brand-new year of content set in Natlan. This will bring forth new main story missions, a new region to explore, and, of course, the new Natlan characters in Genshin Impact 5.0. After that, a new player base will be able to start adventuring in Teyvat.
As was revealed during the Gamescom Opening Night livestream, which was broadcast on the Gamescom channel on Twitch, Genshin Impact will be released for Xbox consoles on November 20 this year. The game will be made available for Xbox Series X/S consoles, leaving the previous generation of hardware behind. The title will also be included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. The release of the action RPG on Xbox consoles should coincide with the arrival of Version 5.2 if the six-week schedule for every update sees no delays.
