3 New Xbox Consoles Get Release Dates

During Gamescom 2024, Microsoft confirmed that three new Xbox Series X/S consoles would launch on October 15, with preorders now being taken ahead of release. The upcoming Xbox consoles are an Xbox Series S with a 1TB SSD, an Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition, and a Galaxy Black Special Edition Xbox Series X with a 2TB SSD.

The 2024 edition of Gamescom has been a busy time for Xbox fans. During the Opening Night Live broadcast, several titles from the Xbox Game Studios umbrella were shown off, including Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Age of Mythology: Retold, and Starfield: Shattered Space. In addition, the release date for the highly anticipated Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was revealed as December 9 on PC and Xbox consoles. While Xbox Series X/S lifetime console sales are faring better than expected, the upcoming slate of Xbox games should drive them even further up the charts by the 2024 holiday shopping season.
