One of the more exciting games featured during yesterday's Future Games Show is The Stone of Madness, a complex real-time tactics title.
The game was made by The Game Kitchen, the same company that brought us the dark, unrelenting metroidvania,Blasphemous.
In The Stone of Madness, you take control of a five-prisoner team, each with specific abilities. Switch between the characters to solve puzzles or use their skills to take out enemies.
The Game Kitchen team simply can't help itself when it comes to Spanish culture; the developers used a Jesuit monastery deep in the Pyrenees as the title's main location.
Based on what we know so far, the monastery will be a single map, which you'll progressively explore. So, if you enjoyed Blasphemous' story and level design, you'll feel right at home with The Stone of Madness.
The Stone Of Madness Looks Very Promising
The story trailer shows us masterful, hand-drawn graphics inspired by Francisco de Goya's work, with a vibrant world that seems like every object has been created mindfully by the developers.
One of the things we're specifically excited about is the fact that the game's conditions change depending on the time of the day....
