Starfield Will Get More Free Content, Says Bethesda Producer, Along With More DLC Good News

As Starfield players patiently await Shattered Space, Bethesda wants to reassure the community that there's still a lot more in the pipeline. Despite its rocky launch, Starfield has managed to establish a dedicated player base, one that's been treated to several significant content updates over the last year. While many of these have been quality-of-life improvements, Bethesda is starting to ramp up the scale of its post-launch support with Shattered Space, so users can look forward to even more game-changing patches in the future.

Speaking to ScreenRant at Gamescom 2024, Timothy Lamb, Lead Creative Producer at Bethesda, promised that Starfield will receive more content that isn't locked behind a paywall like Shattered Space. Lamb noted that he's "personally excited" about some of the community notes that have been pushed into production, stating that while he can't specify what's in development, there are some updates that he can't wait to discuss in detail. The producer also confirmed that outside of the big content patches, plenty of smaller free quality-of-life improvements are also planned for every player.
